# Split Tokens

{% hint style="info" %}
Split Tokens distributes a token held in one wallet across one or more receiver wallets in a single action. The Extension detects which token to split based on the token page currently open in the Trade Panel.
{% endhint %}

***

### How It Works

Open the Trade Panel on a token page. The Extension reads the token address from the page and offers to distribute your balance of that token across your selected wallets.

Requires at least two wallets active in Settings > Wallets: one to send from, one or more to receive.

**Example**: you have the Trade Panel open on the $TEST token page. Triggering Split Tokens moves $TEST from your active sender wallet to your receiver wallets in one transaction set, proportional to the split you define.

Use it to spread risk across multiple wallets or to prepare multiple wallets for coordinated selling.

***

### Run a Split

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Open the Trade Panel on the token page for the token you want to split.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Select the sender wallet (holds the tokens today) and the receiver wallets (receive the split).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Choose the distribution (even split across all receivers or custom amounts per wallet).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Confirm. The Extension sends the tokens in a single batched action.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.bloombot.app/extension/gettings-started/trade-panel/split-tokens.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
